Errol graduated with top honours from the Fashion Academy in Johannesburg in 1973 and studied and worked in London in the 70's, absorbing the best of that cutting-edge era. Weaving the threads of classic styling from the soul of Parisienne couture and drawing from his African roots, Errol became an overnight sensation on the South African fashion scene when Fairlady magazine featured haut-socialite Barbara Barnard wearing his first collection.
Over the years Errol has shrewdly honed his persona and style into a brand that has few peers on the continent. Two decades of garnering some of the most coveted fashion awards worldwide were capped in 2005 when he was bestowed with the Fairlady Lifetime Achievement Award.
Amongst Errol's international clientele are such celebrities as Priscilla Presley, Joan Collins, Jennifer Rush, Shakira Cain, Joanna Lumley, Sharon Stone and Jaclyn Smith - to name but a few. Even the South African Airways cabin crew and ground staff now wear Errol Arendz-designed uniforms that are among the most talked-about in the industry.
